Holiday Lights in Concert Debuts at Silver Sands
About 300 people attended the debut of Holiday Lights in Concert, a spectacular Christmas production of lights and music, on Sunday, November 18 at 5 pm at Silver Sands Factory Stores. The Fort Walton Beach High School Colorguard kicked-off the event in style with a choreographed performance synched to the musical and light production at the grand Christmas tree. The concert ran throughout the evening with throngs of people enjoying the holiday launch and taking the opportunity to get some holiday shopping done. Many of the attendees used the brightly lit tree as a backdrop for photographs.
Holiday Lights in Concert is a visually impressive presentation featuring an amazing display of colorful lights synchronized to favorite Christmas songs. It will run nightly through January 1st from 5pm to 9pm and takes place at the Christmas tree located in the Courtyard at Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. Throughout the holiday season, this ongoing event is free and open to the public.
This is the first year Silver Sands Factory Stores has produced a holiday event on this grand of a scale. The focal point is the massive 42-foot Christmas tree and 10 crepe myrtles adorned with 70,000 red, white and green LED lights. The colorful lights are programmed to flash in a coordinated effort as the music plays. The intricate choreography between the lights and music result in a visually stunning and immensely entertaining show.
Holiday Lights in Concert is not only a creative way to entertain shoppers during the holiday season but also a way to give back to the community, according to Traci Stokes, marketing director for Silver Sands.
“Our local and regional communities have been tremendously supportive of Silver Sands from the beginning. We really wanted to show our appreciation and give something back to them,” says Stokes.
With Holiday Lights in Concert on display nightly, Silver Sandsoffersa wonderfully festive setting for holiday shopping. Panera Bread officially opens its newest bakery-cafe in Silver Sands Factory Stores, located at 10562 Emerald Coast Parkway, on Wednesday, November 14. Panera Bread currently operates one other location in the Destin area.

An Active Community Partner
For the past 14 years, Panera has helped dozens of charitable organizations through Operation Dough-Nation®, a program that allows Panera Bread and its customers to aid local charities.
